will enable you to read your ebooks, if you are
uncomfortable with any registry modifications.
One alternative application, I use has
never caused errors or problems with my Win XP SP2
or any continued updates. It is software that easily
installs on your computer and allows you to enable
and disable the program's running process when you
are finished viewing the ebook. It is a FREE
SOFTWARE PROGRAM. I do know of others who take
advantage of the error occurrence and charge for
such software. However, you can obtain this program
at no cost from me. If you would like to receive

If you decide to
modify the Registry, you will be able to once again read all
your
ebooks without errors and display difficulties.
Below are instructions that guide you through the
steps necessary to insert this code into your
Windows Registry. This simple, yet powerful
modification will correct (Fix) the errors
when reading many
ebooks
that otherwise can not be read after the update of
Win XP SP2.
These Step-By-Step
Instructions include images that reference the exact
steps you
should complete. Your
computer screen should look very much the same as
all steps, instructions, you see below.
It is not necessary that you be a
Computer
Guru to insert this code
into your
Windows Registry. The instructions are detailed,
precise and engineered to reflect the very same
steps you will be taking. If you
follow the very same steps and Instructions
displayed with images and text annotated, you should
have No Problems opening and modifying the code.
Once the code is changed you can view
all ebooks that you have not been able to read
correctly.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
You Must

Any Registry Code Modification!

1)
Before you begin, Verify and Make Sure you are using
Windows XP, and have the SP2 update installed On Your
Computer.
2) To verify the above instruction re: Widows OS and
Version,
Go to
www.microsoft.com and get all the latest updates
to your computer. This will assure and verify that
you are fully compatible with the instructions set
forth to modify your Registry Code.

NOTE: It is very possible that this modifying
procedure
May Not Work if you have not downloaded and
installed all the updates Microsoft provided.
The STEP-BY-STEP instructions will guide you in
modifying your Registry, You will
input a simple line of code into your Registry. Follow
the steps outlined exactly in the directions and you should
have no problems adding and modifying this code to your Registry.
3) QUESTION FOR YOU:
Are you an expert using Microsoft
Windows XP and the Registry?
If the
answer to that is YES, you probably do not want to go
through this instructional set of steps. You might
want to jump into it on your own.
HOWEVER,
If YOU
ARE NOT EXPERTISE WITH WINDOWS XP REGISTRY, then you
should precisely follow the instructions that are
specified below.
NOW FOR AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT CODE REQUIRES
MODIFICATION
You are going to create a key in your registry..
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Security\Adv AddrBar Spoof Detection
It is possible you may need to create the "Adv AddrBar Spoof
Detection" KEY under the Security key. And then add
the value field (DWord):
Name : Enable
Value : 0(zero)
NOTE:
If you are not familiar with the content specified
above and have not been into your Windows Registry
before, you can still follow the steps to modify
code without causing errors or problems.

You must take caution
to follow the STEP-BY-STEP instructions. If you do
not follow the precise instructions, STEP-BY-STEP,
you could cause errors in your Registry.
BEGIN
INSTRUCTIONS AND STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE
1. YOU MUST Back-Up your
system AND REGISTRY. YOU CAN FIND THE MORE DETAILED
INSTRUCTIONS AND DIRECTIONS TO BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY
AND SYSTEM UNDER THE HELP.
To Back Up Your System
a- Go to the 'Start Menu'
b. All
Programs
c. Accessories
d. System Tools
e. Backup |
The
Back Up Wizard will successfully
help you to complete your backup.
Once the Back up is finished continue to Step 2.

Click on 'start menu' (see image below), next click
'Run'.
A dialog window displays similar
to this:

Type 'regedit' in the Open text field, next
click the 'OK' button.
A new dialog window
labeled 'Registry Editor' displays (pops up).

4. Click the folder labeled 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'.

TIP:
Some Folders may look a little
different depending on programs that are installed
on your computer.
5. Click the folder
labeled 'SOFTWARE'.

TIP:
The name folders may differ as the same programs may
not be installed on your computer.
6. Scroll
Down under the folder labeled 'SOFTWARE', Next Click
the folder
labeled 'Microsoft'.

7. Scroll Down under the folder
'Microsoft', Next Click the folder 'Internet Explorer'.

TIP:
Your Registry Editor and folders will look similar
to the image above, but some labeled folders will be
different due to the type software and devices
installed on your individual computer.
I Hope You Have Followed The Steps So
Far...
If you are
doing OK up to this point .... continue with the
remaining steps. However, if you have
some difficulty with variable folders..
or you are not able to follow the steps
above, it would be a great idea to
review where you exactly experience the
differences.
Everything should be pretty much the
same all for the different labeled
folders. This is due to the different
type programs and devices you may have
installed on your computer.
However,
if you review your steps, you will see
the same labeled folders that are
precisely specified in the instructions
with images.
So...
After you have reviewed the differences,
I am sure you will find the past and
remaining steps to be easily achieved.

8. Scroll
Down to the folder
labeled 'Security'. Click the 'Security' folder.
TIP:
This will be the area that you will insert your code
into.
Your Registry Editor and Folders should
at least resemble this
image:
TIP:
The cause of errors when reading some ebooks stems
from
the Key in the 'Security Folder. It is an easy
modification when you follow the exact and precise
steps. There should not be any problems or errors
occurring if you follow the instructions
in complete detail.
However, you may
still decide that this modification is not how you
want your Windows XP SP2 Security to function. Then
you can simply restore your back up taken prior to
any Registry Key Modifications.

Inserting The Code Is Next

9.
Place your Mouse Arrow (Cursor) in the Right Side
Pane. Click anywhere in the Right Side Pane where
you see the text 'Default'. Next, Right Click
your mouse button.
A Dialog Pop-Up Window
Displays. This is the New Key Option to Create a
'New Key'.
Click the Options
'New' - 'Key'.

Notice: a
new folder
Displays under the
'Security folder' in the left pane.
You will Need To
Renametthis folder to:
Adv AddrBar Spoof Detection
Follow the Instructions below to rename this
new folder.

10.
Renametthis folder to:
Adv AddrBar Spoof Detection Your window should now look like this after you
rename the folder:

11. If the folder you created and
renamed is
not open, click on it to open it. Next, right click the folder
Adv AddrBar Spoof Detection you just made.

Still Doing OK up to this point?
Make
sure to review you past steps if you are
in doubt!
You are almost done! Just a bit more and
then the modifications will be complete! |
12.
Click the option from the list 'New' then 'DWORD Value'.
Next, Left click on DWORD
Value.

13. In the right pane, a new registry value
displays named 'New Value #1'.
Rename this value
to Enable.

The right pane window should look
like this image:

Once the instructional steps above are completed, you can close
the Registry.
14.
Click
the 'X' in the top
right corner of the Registry Editor Dialog Window.
Once you have completed the modifications, go to any ebook that you
could not read or view correctly. Next, click on the
Ebook to open. Navigate through the pages.
WoW!
You should now be able to read and view all of the
pages in the ebook and links.
The ebook compiler software that I offer is 100%
fully compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2. I
still provide the Ebook Creator Lite for those that
wish to utilize Fix My Ebooks for their own use and
their readers. It is an option I make available,
however many of the other software applications
offered in my product collection do not require any
additional fix tools for reading the ebooks.
